I got a Star Wars: The Old Republic beta key! :O I didn't even know I was eligible simply by virtue of having a Bioware account.

That awkward feeling when you wish you could afford a 3DS mainly because you'd like to play Ocarina of Time on it, and then consider the fact that you already have access to Ocarina of Time on both N64 and GameCube.

It's a good game, okay?

Saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 today. Definitely one of the better Potter movies, if not the best. (hard to judge before I've seen it a few more times)

And... )

I spent wasted spent most of today watching Tiger & Bunny. I thought I'd check it out since I've been hearing so much about it lately.

It wasn't exactly what I expected based on the near-universal squee I'd seen in my travels around the Internet, but for some reason I kept watching until I ran out of episodes. The supporting cast is adorable and even the leads became kind of endearing after 11 episodes or so, so I guess it's an ok show.

I have this odd habit: I "collect" nice-sounding names. I don't know why I do it; I rarely need to name anything. I've never had a pet and do not plan on having kids, at least not anytime soon. I don't even name my computers, which I understand is a major nerd faux pas.

This post was brought on by the realization that "Johan" is a very nice name and OH GOD I WILL NEVER USE THESE NAMES FOR ANYTHING WHY DO I KEEP A LIST.

The folks at Telltale Games are evil, evil people.

That, and I'm an idiot for playing through 3 episodes of the game in one day when I should have made them last me until the 23rd, when the last episode will be released. I don't even have the excuse of being new to Telltale's shenanigans; I know they like to end the second-to-last episode of a season on an unpleasant sort of cliffhanger, and I still expected it to be all right.

Decent game, though. Not necessarily very challenging, but the story is certainly engaging.

I kind of wish I had WoW game time right now. I don't miss the game much, which is a bit of a bummer, because I do miss the guild.

Just finished watching the Back to the Future trilogy for the first time in I don't even know how long. All I know is we used to have all three on a single VHS cassette and I haven't seen the movies since VHS became obsolete.

So I got the DVD box and watched 'em with my sisters. :3 My youngest sister had never seen 'em before either, so I think it was high time she did.

For the record, I blame everything on Telltale Games. They're really good at reeling me in by offering free downloads of the first episode of a multi-part game, and this time it was the BTTF adventure game. =/ So I had to buy the movies and the rest of the game.

In other news, I've been painting for my exhibition in August and I hurt my right index finger yesterday, which is making life surprisingly hard.

For the past week, I've been immensely enjoying Dragon Age 2. First Dragon Age I've ever played, too, though I am considering hunting down Origins in some discount bin.

Anyway, it appears a number of things have been changed story-wise, and some fans are Not Pleased (though when is the entirety of any fanbase ever satisfied?). I've been reading about the retcons, and they don't seen all that horribly RUINED FOREVER to me. Then again, I am a Warcraft fan. The amount of retcons I've accepted between Warcraft: Orcs and Humans and WoW: Cataclysm has probably done a lot to desensitize me for such things.

Anyway, I daresay that even if I had played DA before, and even if I did find the retcons objectionable, I'd still enjoy the game. Because Varric's chest hair is mesmerizing the characters are so great.

I have absolutely no idea how I feel about this. On one hand old fart Heihachi is/was fifteen different shades of badass, but.. this is also kind of badass?

Promises of a Good Omens four-parter TV series? I'm all aflutter. *__*

Oh man, I'm still such a huge Sherlock Holmes fan, it's barely even funny. My love was recently rekindled by the Jeremy Brett TV series, which is currently being rerun on Finnish tv, and now I've ordered a collection of every single Holmes story written by Arthur Conan Doyle. Eeeee I can't wait till it arrives. *___*

In other news, I have something like ten days to do and mail the Turku AMK preliminary assignments, two and a half weeks to finish the art pieces for my exhibition, which is going up on May 10th, two weeks to do a Swedish assignment, and a month to finish my exhibition portfolio. 8D Busy busy.

OH MAN OH MAN OH MAN

OP is so intense. ;__;

Also Alvida plz to be coming to pick Buggy up. I know there's been no indication that you would even want to, but dammit the two of you found each other in a title page story. I think it's actually physically impossible to not stick together 4EVA after that.

Miles Edgeworth is such a closet geek and Investigations is officially my favourite game in the Ace Attorney series. The gameplay is so much more fun and I've come to realize that I like the pink interface Edgeworth and Gumshoe more than Phoenix and Maya.

What does it say about the Internet that there is a website (probably several) that will simulate flipping a coin for you?

And what does it say about me that not only was I certain that there would be a site like that, but my first instinct was to google for it rather than pick up an actual coin and flip it?

Let it be known that Tales of Monkey Island is crack.

Sure, the quality of the writing varies (some side characters are just cheap clichés with no depth whatsoever) and it doesn't quite reach the overall brilliance of the first three games (say whatever you will about Curse. I loved it and consider it no worse than the original two), but it gives me the fix Escape just didn't quite manage to. I'm not sure how canon all of it is going to be if there's ever going to be an "actual" "Monkey Island 5", but Tales has done away with much of what made Escape feel wrong. Much like Tekken 5 took a few step back and then sideways from Tekken 4 and came out better than its predecessor.

That was my spontaneus game review. I'm gonna go play some more now.

My geek is totally showing but I DON'T EVEN CARE. Because.

You guys, because.

I was in Frozen Halls of Icecrown Citadel today. I was in Frozen Halls the day it was launched (in Europe anyway). And it was awesome. My only regret is not having an Alliance character so I could have ran around with Jaina. I mean, Sylvanas is cool and all, but JAINA.

Anyway, it was amazing. I think I fell in love with the bosses there.

So that's what I did today.

Oh and I totally did some web design too but WHO CARES.

Today I was told I sort of resemble Velma from Scooby-Doo.

Considering my glasses, bobbed haircut and round face, I can't really argue.
