*squeals* Awesome-sauce. I got one from curse.com Though I'm floundering with what happens next? I applied it to my account, and updated my contact info. Do I get an email or such? *shrugs*
The message I got mine in said that I'd receive an email with further instructions once the test date is set. I'm not used to beta testing (never even got any of the WoW beta keys) but I'm assuming setting the test date is something that happens on their end, so I guess we just need to sit back and wait for an email. :D
Glad to have that confirmed. I've been keeping an eye on my email account, just waiting for an email. I'l let you guys what happens if the beta testing is set and I roll a character.
I wasn't very interested before, because I'm not really much of a SW fan. On the other hand, it is Bioware. Now I've got the Beta invite, I hope I like it! :D Especially when so many SfS people might start playing.
...I must be the only one not excited for/looking forward to SW:TOR tho. xD I think all the hype has had the opposite effect on me, tbh. It feels like it's been hyped as "the best mmorpg ever omgomgomg" for so long, and I'm just tired of it. :\
The whole game and its hype has been a matter of supreme indifference to me (I'm not really into SW at all). But now I got a surprise beta key, I'm a bit more interested. :D
Just after leaving that comment, I actually went and got myself a beta key (for the stress-test next weekend, it seems). Might as well see what the fuss is about, eh? xD
(Although I'm already kinda regretting it, since it seems signing up for SW:TOR automatically also got me accounts on like 3 other sites, that I'll never visit/use, ffs! ><)
That part is annoying. Especially when you get the Origin linked to you, along with the EA website. Doubly annoying when you hit 'contact customer service' for Origin, it takes to customer guide FAQ section for EA (apparently it was undergoing repairs). Also, even the SW:TOR website has a fill-in form which is now filled up and sent. I tots have no idea how long its going to be to hear from them.
