Painting the Horizon

I just abruptly cut a lot of sugar and artificial sweeteners from my diet. I stopped putting sugar in my tea and quit eating sweets and drinking soft drinks. I've been having fresh fruit for snacks and I'm working on doing something about the nutritionary values of my meals.

The funny thing is that I only started on Monday and already the fruit seem to taste sweeter than they used to, and what used to be my favourite juice tastes entirely too sweet (technically I quit that juice too, but I had a carton in the fridge that needed finishing).

I'm very interested to see how this goes. I've "quit sweets" before, but never like this and never with this kind of results. So far I've had no cravings for the stuff I've cut out, either, but as I said, it's only been three days.

Haha, that didn't work out so well.

The charger of our car's battery sort of gave out yesterday. We got a couple of guys to hit it with a hammer, which made it work for long enough for us to get to a garage. The mechanics there hit it with a hammer again, enabling us to drive back home.

We're going to hop on a train tomorrow morning. We still have most of our travel funds so we're taking a train to Seinäjoki and see if there's any fun to be had.
