I believe my fangirl test just came back positive.

I haven't had a cell phone ringtone that didn't come with the phone since I was fifteen. Today, however, I loaded the Steel Samurai theme on my phone. Because I'm a geek. I also set a voice clip from Warcraft II as the SMS tone (an orc yelling "We're being attacked!"). I feel my phone is now sufficiently geeky.

Whew.

The apartment is slowly starting to look like a home. In fact, it looks really comfortable and cozy and I love it. I'm still not entirely over the freakout phase, but as long as I think of it as moving to a place of my own and not as leaving home, I'm mostly really excited.

We moved my desk and bed there today. (It's only in the neighbouring city from my parents' place, so instead of renting a truck we're taking my stuff there one carload at a time) My paints, scanner and pen tablet are there, too. Basically all that's still here at home is me (sleeping on a spare mattress now that my bed's gone, heh), most of my comics, and a load of less important stuff that I have to shift through. You know, to determine which items will be going with me, which will be left behind and which will be mercilessly thrown out.
Oh, and my computer, which will not be moving until I am, owing to my sad, sad Internet addiction (I'm stocking it up with interesting offline stuff for distracting myself with while I'm without Internet access).


And thanks for everyone who commented on my previous entry, those comments really helped me come to grips with the situation. I tried replying to you guys but I couldn't come up with anything but pointless babble. Sorry.

Just got back from seeing The Dark Knight, and I just... holy shit. It was so awesome. I fucking cried. I honestly did. I laughed, too, because the Joker has that kind of effect on me. One part of the mind goes "holy shit, ew, that's horrible!", while another is startled into a sort of terrified, but guiltily genuine amusement. Heath Ledger was such an amazing actor.

I know I asked for tickets to "the Batman"* at the booth, but really, that wasn't Batman's show at all. It was Joker's. And, to a lesser extent, Harvey Dent's, because anyone who's read the comics knew to keep an eye on him.

And the light of the sunset in the horizon looked so beautiful on my drive home. I wish I could draw a sky like that.


*somehow it came out easier than "Yön Ritari", the Finnish name for the movie.

Oh, One Piece is so intensely awesome right noww. <3 (Aw, Bonney come on and join the fiiight~ ;__;) Also, I can't decide if non-fatal ( spoiler ) is more or less awesome than the fatal kind would've been.
