I feel mildly foiled today.

I had it all figured out up until a moment ago. I'd stay in Kemi-Tornio University of Applied Sciences for the rest of this year, and come spring I'd apply to Turku University of Applied Sciences to specialize in animation, and to University of Lapland to start studies to become an art teacher, just in case I couldn't get into the Turku UAS.

Turns out they're not even accepting animation majors for year 2009. And I'm not sure if I can live through another year where I am now, considering that all the teachers seem to be swooning over abstract art. Abstract is nice, but it's not what I do and I feel like I'm wasting my time here.

Yeah, there's still the University of Lapland, but that was my backup plan, and it doesn't feel right turning it into Plan A.

I've thought about looking into studying abroad, but I'm not certain if I would be able to afford something like that without getting into debt.

Thanks for the offer, but it seems that won't be necessary. I've found some alternatives, and after further research, it seems my panic was premature, as they appear to actually still be taking animation students in Turku and I just misinterpreted a note on their website that seemed to say they weren't.
