Just got back from seeing Sex and the City (shut up, it's a guilty pleasure of mine, much like Eminem's music [shut up]).

It was exactly like the TV series, which means that, for a Sex and the City movie, it was perfect. Not the best movie I've ever seen, no, but quite enjoyable nevertheless. It was also longer than a movie has any right to be. Of course, that seems to be the case with pretty much every movie I've watched in the past... 4 years? Not that 4 years' worth of movies amounts to all that many in my case.

I noticed they're still showing Iron Man in the local movie theatre. I wonder if I should go to see that, too. I'm pretty meh on the comics, but I've heard that it's a really fucking amazing movie.


ETA: Oh, yeah, also paid a visit to the local emplyment agency today, since I am now officially unemployed (at least until I find out if I got into that school). And I had to bother the folks at KELA (Social Insurance Institution) because they couldn't word their forms could any less clearly if they tried and I won't get a dime in the way of unemployment benefits unless I fill them. So I went in to have a few parts clarified for me.

Haha, see, that's what I mean. All I ever hear of it is praise. Gotta be a pretty sweet movie if it's based on comics and yet no geeks are complaining.

And it's totally my fault for being so slow that you keep having to ask about the progress. My rough estimate would be withing the next week. My pen tablet's been acting up lately (damn Vista) but assuming it cooperates now that Wacom put a driver update out, and I don't encounter any more unforeseen problems, I'd say next Tuesday.

Ah, okay. Thanks. I was just wondering because a friend asked me the other day when the new comic was going to be up. XD Um, hey, if that whole driver update thing does end up working out for you, do you think we could possibly try to work out maybe a weekly update schedule? I don't know if you have anything major going on...

Yeah, the tablet seems to be working ans I think I've got everything sorted out for the duration of the summer, at least. A weekly update really should be manageable now.
The only thing slowing me down right now is Russom. You see, I'm most accustomed to drawing young, caucasian women and he is none of those things. The fact that I never did any designs for him is not helping, either. *is an idiot*

Ah, yeah...I'm sorry about Russom. And him being a later middle-aged African man. That is just about the exact opposite of your typical demographic. XD This is just going all kinds of weird, isn't it?

Again, I'm the one at fault, here. I should be able to draw all kinds of people. My only excuse is that in my area you don't really see much else than caucasian people, and the occasional Roma (a.k.a. Gypsies) and I mostly hang with young women. XD
Anyway, live and learn. If nothing else, I'm learning a lot from doing this comic. XD

I don't think not automatically being able to draw a certain thing makes your skills inferior, especially considering how awesome you are at drawing various other things. I mean, you're...what, twenty-seven times better than I am? XD But yeah, hey, at least the comic having a fairly diverse cast might help you branch out! That could be good. :D

It just occurs to me, I need an icon for the comic. Possibly a community icon. *considers making one*
