In which we see that douriki ain't nothing but a number except that's totally not true, but shush.

Kaku is in almost as bad, if not just as bad a shape as Lucci (can't tell if he's conscious, but he sure ain't walking), while all the weaker ones are upright. And I'm sorry, but I just have this bizarre and very illogical feeling of sympathy towards Jyabura (maybe because I have a hard time accepting not being the best at what I do, too) and... he's carrying Kaku. I think it's a safe bet that Kaku is never going hear the end of it.

Also Califa is wearing Jyabura's shirt, which is probably the closest to scoring with her any guy can ever hope to get, ahahasdlkjfggg why I find this so amusing is anyone's guess. Also it's actually less revealing than her real outfit.

And - and Blueno! And Kumadori! And Fukurou ohhh God since when do I even like CP9. lol lol lol it must be mini-arc magic at work.

As for the chapter itself... if the text summary is to be believed, forget my 4Kids cracktheory, Duval resembles Don Krieg more with every passing chapter, with the exception of not being the most boring villain ever seen on the pages of the manga.

I personally like the return of Sanji's "kick him in the face until he's pretty" move. Except people are swearing that he's going to turn Duval into a clone of himself in the process. XD

They're also saying that since CP9 is walking along the sea train tracks, they're going to run into either Nero or T-bone in the process...

Haha, I totally missed the "kick the ugly out" move in the spoilers. XD I'd personally love it if Duval a) didn't change at all or b) turned way prettier than Sanji.

I was about to wonder if them finding Nero would result in more problems for the poor bastard, but Lucci is out cold and the others don't seem to be in any mood to fight. T-bone, I like to think, has made it back home with his entire crew intact and is back to business as usual. I'd just feel bad for him if he hadn't. XD

But yeah, they could happen across Nero and, idk, Kumadori would pick him up (regardless of wheter or not the dude is conscious) cuz he's not carrying anyone yet and they could go off and begin a glorious new life as, well, something.

Hopefully, with so many mini-arcs turning out to having been kind of important lately, Toei will take a hint and start animating them again. I'd much rather look at CP9's struggle to get back on their feet than another filler that will end up contradicting future canon (srsly, they always do, in one way or another).

Oh, I think that looks hotter on her, too. I get the feeling that if she wore a matching pair of pants, she'd be hotter still. Somewhere in Terry Pratchett's work (I'm thinking Pyramids), it is said that a woman covered from head to toe can often look more interesting than one whose clothing leaves little to the imagination (paraphrased, because I can't find the actual quote). I'm inclined to agree.

That's resembles my though process upon seeing the page quite a bit.
I think I will finally be making room for a Califa icon when this chapter comes out, uhuhu. *__*

and you know, I think I figured out why I like this cover page so much. It's because for all their differences, they're actually taking care of each other, carrying their injured and borrowing shirts and stuff. I'm a sucker for this sort of team spirit, even if I love their way of not getting along when they don't get along.

I suddenly have a burning need to see Califa wearing the rest of Jyabura's outfit as well. I'm convinced she would be utter hotness (as if she isn't already). *ponders fanart (though also I need to get the next page of Face The Music to you orz)*

I totally know what you mean about the team spirit thing--I'm a sucker for it too, and I love Oda even more now for making it work, even with a bunch of hardass assassins. ♥

I...I'm trying to decide which one I'd like to see first. Face The Music or Kalifa in Jyabura's clothes. Argh.
