So I was watching recent episodes of One Piece anime and realized Brook had shading here and there. This is when a thought hit me:
Shouldn't a person whose shadow has been stolen be completely without shading? After all, most unlit areas on a person's body are that way because their own body prevents the light from reaching said areas. And since a person casts no shadow, obviously the light is now passing through them and reaching areas it logically shouln't.
Or maybe I should just go to sleep already.

Date: 2008-01-20 08:17 pm (UTC)As for the 100% shadeless thing, I think you're right. But then again, it's Oda, maybe the "shadow" he's talking about is just the one we see on the floor/wall/yadda-yadda, with our shape... OW I HAVE NO IDEA

Date: 2008-01-20 08:41 pm (UTC)Inorite? It's like, every filler Toei does contains something that turns out to be wrong later. Like Zoro cutting a cannonball in half right after Arlong Arc (and later some metal chains in Apis Arc), CobyMeppo entering GL through Reverse Mountain "Oh, that. That article was planted." WHATEVER YOU SAY, PINKY.
Or Fullbody's premature fall from grace directly after Sanji beat him up. Or Zoro's random interest in women in the first TV special. Or the random nonexistant childhood friends that pop up every so often. xD Good times.

Date: 2008-01-20 09:01 pm (UTC)Our list could go over and over. Like... remember Meppo's dog-wolf? One Piece Blue (or Red lol I don't remember) says his name is Soro. Yet he yells "Inugata!!" to him in the anime. I dunno, isn't "inu" supposed to be "dog" in Japanese? Oh anime!Meppo, why would you nane your dog... "dog"???
There's also Garp being mad at them for knowing Luffy and later saying that he would "forget" about him...
....you know I really should stop paying so much attention to every detail possible about Cobymeppo and go get a life, yes I should :B
