Date: 2007-08-12 03:02 pm (UTC)Well, I did enjoy the movie, but I'll have to admit that it was mainly for two reasons: 1) It was shiny and 2) It was Alabasta. Even I recognize that storytelling-wise the movie was very rushed and though they did an admirable job of working around the things they'd left out (=Igaram, Rainbase&Rain Deinners, Mizu Luffy etc.), you're still kind of left missing them. But as long as you don't expect wonders of a 1,5h retelling of Alabasta, it's a decent watch, I think.
