I was going through my youngest sister's DVDs and I came across Cinderella 3: A Twist in time. I realized I'd never actually watched it and figured there'd be worse ways to spend an evening.
And it was actually mostly OK. The animation was solid overall and actually pretty neat at points, and the Prince is suddenly the most hilarious thing.

And this is now my response to everything.

Of course, that there isn't exactly "falling with style".

Date: 2011-08-14 04:36 pm (UTC)I think I saw one scene or two of that movie, but never really watched it. The animation looked good and my sister said the movie itself wasn't bad, but for some reason I feel like Cinderella is out of character - she seemed pretty much the delicate damsel in distress in the first movie and in this new one she is tough and stuff. But the main reason I think this movie is weird is Anastasia. She was one of the characters that mostly made me RAGE when I was a kid and then suddenly "LOL I'M A GOOD PERSON NAO" DD: Although I'm the last person who should be saying that cuz I love Helmeppo and that's pretty much what happened to him XD; But still.
But then again I never really watched the movie so all I just said could be just a load of bullshit :V

Back when the first movie came out, I think women were seen as fragile and weak, while men were all brave and stuff, and that's how Cinderella and the Prince's personalities were made. But now not only women no longer act like wimps, but making Cinderella a weakling would kind of make feminists flame the movie XD And I guess we now see men somewhat more like dorks XD Brave and strong, yes, but dorky as well XD
Also... WHY in the world was the Prince (does he even have a name?? XD) jumping out that window? XD

So the king heads him off in the middle of a staircase and forbids him to take another step down the stairs. So he goes "okay" and jumps out of the window as if that's the logical thing to do.
