No need to hide from me. To be honest, I stopped thinking Rowling was a good writer around the time I first read one of the books in English, I just don't generally discuss her talent in any way because it was never about Quality Literature or First Class Fiction for me. She's got something right to get so many people interested, I'll give her that, but really, she is not a master with the words. Nor is the HP series anywhere near the best or deepest story in the history of ever, but I don't think the series itself or Rowling is even pretending it is.
And hey, people (including me, orz) enjoy it, so I figure there's nothing really wrong on that front. The problem is mostly that a lot of people are making such a big deal about it and other people expect it to be amazing when it's really just another fantasy that, for one reason or another, made it big. Eh.
