...So apparently not everyone associates colours with numbers and letters.
Not only that, the tendency towards doing so has a name. I've been convinced of the redness of 3 and the yellowness of T for as long as I can remember, but I never realized that was out of the ordinary in any way.

Well, you learn something new every day. Is there anyone on my friendslist who's like this as well?

I tend to see 8 as rather greenish at times. I tend to lean more towards associating tastes with feelings.

But I definitely know where you're coming from with the whole, "Wait, that's not normal?" reaction. Found out relatively recently that some people would recommend seeking psychiatric help for something I thought everyone experienced at some point.

Yeah, it can be pretty... alarming I think is the word I'm looking for - to realize that something you haven't paid much mind to is unusual. Of course synesthesia appears to be a very non-alarming and quite pointless thing to have. It's probably different with something that's generally seen as requiring tratment.

Not that different, actually. It mostly seems to be people overreacting to something they haven't experienced themselves, so therefore it must be a psychosis. At most it's a sleep disorder, really. I just slot it into the same area as "dreaming in color".

I think actually it's not THAT uncommon, but yeah, most people can't do this. There was a number, like "every (umpteenth) person has synesthesia", and the number wasn't that big.
I usually see colours when I listen to music, but then they turn into complete scenes and "musicvideos" so I don't know if that counts!

Oh, so it's like "1 out of 5" or something? Well, there go my unique points, haha. Not that something like thinking 7 is green gives one much unique points, anyway.
Full-blown music videos sound kind of cool. *__* I mostly get, like, coloured shapes. Unless I'm actually trying to picture a music video sort of thing.

To me 6 is shy and depressed, 7 is a strong and bossy woman, 8 is a dark and jeaous gentleman, 4 is a mean teenager and so on. I realized most people don't associate numbers with personalities when I was 13 or something.
