OP Movie 8 capspost Part 4

OP Movie 8 capspost: Final part.

There are more images here than there were in the previous three posts. As in, where the other three had 50-60 pictures, this one has a little over 70 images.

Part 1
Part 2
Part 3

A hero appears. With shiny lips. Ahaha what the Hell, U so manly, Pell.

He even gets a ray of light from the heavens. Now if that is not a man about to die a martyr death, I don't know what is.

They put a kind of... andventure-y music here. Thanks, Toei, but it was more dramatic when it was silent. (and am I hallucinating or did 4Kids also add music to this part?)

Pell has a "hybrid" face when in full animal form, too. Um, Toei, you've already done this once, and you did it more or less right. What gives?

BOOM, BABY!

These dumbasses have no intention of stopping, though.

Vivi screams at them to stop

And the soldiers screm back The royal army seems to have hired a couple of zombies, too. This particular zombie soldier was funny because he has Kazuya Nakai's (=Zoro) voice.

Meanwhile underground, Luffy takes a sec to move Robin out of the way of Crocodile's Sables Pesado.

Croc is up in the air. We know what that means. Sadly they changed the music. :( I liked New World Symphony.

The animation got a little more Movie 6-ish. Which was cool.

AHAHAHAJKDKLJFDGKJRFF CROC YOUR FACE

Gomu Gomu no Storm. Looked good enough I think.

Chopper seems to have caught the Zombie disease. Why else would he be going for some poor sod's brain?

Crocodile is blasted into the air.

Vivi is getting desperate. That blood looks painful and I think it was a good touch.

Cobra is concerned about whether or not Luffy is going to live.

But lucky! Robin's awake and has the antidote.

The first drop of rain falls onto Kohza's palm, and he wakes up.

"So, um, what do we do with him?"

This is where you start to realize that Igaram really truly isn't in this movie. Therefore it's up to Kohza to calm the rebels down.

Cobra has brought Luffy to his crew and is now speaking inspiring words, but all I can think of is that he doesn't appear to be wearing pants, and wonder if he's maybe going commando.

The Strawhats sure are restless sleepers.

Again, no Igaram, so Cobra comes to talk to Vivi.

Then we skip the three days that Luffy spends asleep.

I SERIOUSLY NEVER SAW THAT BANDAID IN HIS HAND OR THE TANLINES ON HIS FOREHEAD BEFORE I TOOK THIS SCREENCAP. Up until then I thought he was fixing his 'do.

So the banquet begins, but someone is not invited. Apart from the lovely animation of his clothes here, I love the determined air he has about him. It cracks me up.

I like the whimsical way in which this is animated. Reminds me of Movie 6 a little.

I - I think Usopp says something like "Who are you, Wapol?" here. If I'm hearing it right, that's awesome.

"Oh shit guys! Bad news!"

"Whut?"

*totally weirded out*

"Er, Marines"

AWWW WOULDJA LOOKIT CHOPPER? He's so cute, I want to hug him. (By all means, look closer)

So they decide to leave Alabasta, after making that deal with Vivi, of course.

Meanwhile Robin is having an emo moment.

She gets to have a short Ohara flashback, since we're expected to know about all this, anyway.

OH! Hope in the shape of a ship!

Vivi's speech begins. Hey guys, since Igaram still isn't in the movie, guess who this is?

Dudes. Don't be throwing rocks at Terracotta! She's a widow!

The real Vivi is elsewhere.

Now, take a good look, kids, cause this is all the marines you're going to see in this movie. They're not led by anyone particular, nor do we get to look any closer.

But they have to be there so this can happen.

Vivi and Carue respond.

The credits have some nice things, too.

Like these Kung Fu Dugons, which weren't even in the movie, but whatever.

And this lovel- waitasec.
Er, Cobra. You're awesome and all, but this is one of my favourite scenes in the entire arc and your presence is kind of taking away from it, so I'm gonna have to ask you to leave. Sorry, man.

BUT! Isn't this just the greatest thing ever?

So sweet of you, Toei.

And that was the eighth One Piece movie, everyone! Thank you for your company and good night.
*bows*

If there's a picture you'd like to have in a bigger size or something I didn't cap but you'd like a cap of, feel free to ask.

Hahaha, Zoro-zombies. Heehee.
Man now I just sorta wish Oda could make a colourspread with all them strawhats being zombies and shit. Would be sweet.

What the fuck, Usopp and Sanji. I hope those aren't wet dreams they are having.

Why the hell did they ditch Igaram for? Completely un-necessary to me. :( I get shivers from LOOKING at the screencap of the X, b'aw. Good times.

The last screencap is pretty.

I have absolutely no idea why Igaram couldn't have been in it. Unless Toei thought they would have to include Whiskey Peak if they included him, which of course isn't true but idk. D:

Oh, that last one was so pretty. ♥ I didn't even know the picture was lurking at the end of the credits so I fangirled a lot when it jumped out at me. Incidentally that's also the reason I had to include it.

Oh that was really good, thanks for taking the screens :D Still didn't watch the movie *shot* so it's cool to see some screen to have an idea of how the movie looks in general. Which program you got to take them?

Also, am I the only one who think Nami's pressing her boobs to Zoro's back on the "Nami and Zoro are fine too"?? Well at least there was no bouncing XD Well I think Nami's bounced once but only once. But Toei made up with the boob grabing. Wtf is with Oda and Toei giving atention to boobs only XD

But that seems to be a good movie, I must watch it sometime. I actually saw the final scene and the music was really good :3

In the end, I downloaded VLCplayer, which can play .mp4 and take screencaps. Though I also salvaged a working .mp4 codec from my grandfather's computer.

Stupid as it sounds, I must say I'm majorly impressed by the tan difference on Sanji's forehead. A movie that remembers these tiny little details - that skin will tan in a country like Alabasta, but not if a person is wearing a band-aid... that's awesome. ♥

I forgot to ask during your previous posts, but could you maybe point me into the direction where you got this movie? :-)

[identity profile] mipeltaja.livejournal.com 2007-08-05 08:20 pm (UTC)(link)
I got the torrent here (http://torrentreactor.net/view.php?id=1113270).

And yes, endless joy can be found in little details like tanning and bandaids. It's something you don't really expect but are nonetheless happy to see.

Schweeee~t, thanks! :-)

It didn't occur to me until now that with Igaram gone, Terracotta really is a widow in this. o.O

Damn, all that weight-lifting really has done something to Zoro. Just look at the other Strawhats' arms and notice how skinny they are. And poor Sanji, the only ones with girlier arms than his are girls (in this case reindeers don't count). XD

They added Pell to the credits! ♥

[identity profile] mipeltaja.livejournal.com 2007-08-05 08:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, either widow or just unmarried, since there is no indication in the movie that Igaram ever existed in this version; his name doesn't come up at all. But I for some reason like to pretend that he wasn't completely wiped out, but rather was killed at Whiskey Peak.

Now I'm wondering if Sanji is jealous of those manly arms. Poor sod keeps losing at life.
