Greetings from Rovaniemi Rock Festival!
Phew, that was an intensive three days. I'm amazed it didn't rain.
It feels good to be back home, though. I couldn't have taken another day of it; my feet hurt more each day and I was so tired in the train back today. Still, it was pretty awesome, if really expensive. Suppose it's our own fault, what with taking a taxi to the spot and then back to the hotel every day.
Damn Seagulls.
They didn't really impress me but whatever.
Teräsbetoni.
I always found these guys amusing rather than hardcore, but I have to admit, they were one of the best acts (hey, they were shirtless).
The 69 Eyes.
Best live show I've ever seen, and that's counting all the bands I like a lot more than this one. These boys know how to put on a show.
Bloodpit.
They were good, but nothing really stuck to mind about them.
Indians!
OK, so they weren't on the festival. They were downtown, but they were cool.
Lapko.
I was pretty much dragged to see them. Left after a couple of songs, since they weren't to my liking.
McQueen.
A British band. One of the three non-Finnish bands on the Fest. They were pretty good.
Mokoma.
First time hearing their music. I liked them.
Apulanta.
This band is possibly my favourite out of the ones on the fest. I've always liked their music and I was too busy going with the flow to take more than one picture of them, which is a pity.
Antti Tuisku.
You can't tell from the picture, but the audience looked a little different from those of the other bands. Antti came third in the first Finnish Idols (our version of American Idol) and is hugely popular among teenage girls. I'll admit he's a good performer. Pity about the music, really. He probably wouldn't have been on the fest if he wasn't a local boy.
Flinch.
Nothing much to say about them. Better'n Negative (more on them later) but not so good that I'd want to buy their music.
Maija Vilkkumaa.
She's good. I knew at least some words to most of the songs she performed, too. Go me!
Negative.
Possibly the most popular band on the fest. Their singer looked more androgynous when he had longer hair, which is about all I know and more than I care to know about them.
No pictures of me, because I'm an ugly fat chick :D and none of my company because I don't think they want to be on my LJ. There also aren't all that many pictures of us, really, since most of the memory card space went to pictures of the performers and the area.

Hui! Että melkein tykkäsit Tuiskusta?O.O;; No, et sentään musiikista (köhmyöntänytköh) tykkääväsi. Huoh, herra Tuisku olikin se syy, miksei äiti hommannut lippua sille päivälle. Olisin halunnut nähdä Maija Vilkkumaan, mutta kun olisi ollut myös tää toinen tyyppi siellä, eikä meistä kukaan halunnut mennä sinne sitten.
Tiestikös muuten, että Kotiteollisuus olisi ollut lauantain (tai sunnuntain, en nyt muista) yllätysesiintyjä, mikäli niiden rumpali ei olisi viime tipassa telonut kättään. Siitä oli Posarissa juttua tuossa joku päivä. En tietä itkeäkö vai nauraako. Hyvä homma siinä oli se, että nyt ei harmita etten päässyt sinne, kun en kerran niistä paitsi jäänyt kun eivät esiintyneet. Mutta toisaalta, en viitsi olla kovin iloinen siitä, että joku teloo kätensäXD;

Mut tiesin kyllä tuon Kotiteollisuusjutun. Just ennen The 69 Eyesiä tuli yksi kaveri lavalle kertomaan että niiden olis pitänyt olla yllätysesiintymässä mutta rumpali kolaroi. Ja sitten seuraavat kaksi päivää vesipisteellä oli lappu että yllätysesiintyjä Kotiteollisuus on peruttu (ravasin siellä ihan ahkeraan kun puolen litran pullossa ei riitä juotavaa kauan niin kuumalla). Ois kyllä ollut hirveän kiva kuunnella niitä. Ei se tilalla ollut bändikään huono ollut, ei vain erityisen mahtavakaan.
