Egypt picspam!


I should stress that I never left the hotel's vicinity, because there was nothing of great interest nearby. There was one small town which we might have visited to kill time, but there was never a good day for that.

This is the building we lived in. Each building of this sort had like..six rooms, I think. Balconies on one side and an open-air corridor on the other.

This is where we ate three times a day (it was all-inclusive). The breakfast was good, and the pastries they served at the breakfast were heavenly. The lunch tended to be ok, and the dinner (which had a different theme each night) had a lot of variety, but there seemed to be a fundamental difference in Finnish and Egyptian tastes that drove most of us to taste a few things and then revert to the fresh fruit.

They were in the middle of constructing another pool or possibly a small water park.

We were surrounded by the desert on three sides and the Red Sea on the fourth, but the hotel area was kept very lush and verdant.
