Yeah, it's Steve. I honestly can't remember if it was Paul or Bryan who was supposed to be the bassist, but looking at the picture, Paul's instrument seems to have less strings.
Probably mean to be a "playful" insult, because at least here, the stereotypical bassist is dumb as a rock.
